New Technical Features

I’ve been adding some features to my website. Most of these are on the back end. They’re things that let me learn about who’s coming to the site and who’s subscribing to the various feeds. However, I’ve also added a few front end things that are visible to visitors:

  • Buttons that let you share posts and pages on Facebook and Twitter
  • An option to subscribe to posts by email rather than RSS
  • The option to receive follow-up comments via email
  • A Google +1 button

In addition, updates to this site will be pushed to my new Facebook page (provided my plugin keeps working, of course).

As an aside, my posting schedule may change slightly. Previously, my posts tended to appear in the mornings because I could schedule them to do so. I’ve had some technical issues with scheduling posts, so you’re more likely to see things appearing at night. I hope that doesn’t negatively affect too many of you.

The Big Move

Over July 4th weekend, I’ll be moving to a new website: Those of you who subscribe to this site via an RSS or atom feed will need to update your feeds after the move. If you typically come here by typing in the URL directly, don’t worry. Once the new site is up and running, will redirect there.
