Learning From My (Spelling) Mistakes

I am a terrible speller. I was never great at it, but my spelling seems to have gotten progressively worse over time. Here are a few things I learned recently as a result of one of my misspellings.

  1. It’s spelled bosom and not bosem.
  2. A besom (also not spelled bosem) is an old fashioned broom, often a witch’s broom, generally made of twigs tied around a stick. This seems to be the stereotypical witch’s broomstick, but I’d have to check on that.
